Max McChesney
Max McChesney is the principal of SawGate Capital, leveraging a strong background in entrepreneurship and business operations in his current search for a new company to acquire and lead as CEO. Previously, he co-founded DigitalCrafts, a leading technology education and staffing company, successfully leading it to an eight-figure exit in 2021. Through DigitalCrafts, Max gained extensive experience in both education and workforce development, helping companies train and build top-tier technical talent pipelines.
Before launching DigitalCrafts, Max's career spanned various industries, including working with the acquisitions team at Resicap, an institutional level single-family real estate fund in Atlanta, where he focused on sourcing and executing distressed investment opportunities. Earlier in his career, he held various roles at StarPound Technologies, a cloud-based business process automation platform, where he gained valuable experience at the intersection of technology, sales, finance, and operations.
Max earned his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia. Beyond his professional pursuits, he has a love for travel and spent a year living in Argentina. Now based in Charleston, SC, Max enjoys life with his wife and two wonderful kids, and when he’s not working, you will likely find him outdoors—especially on the water, fishing.
